Centre and periphery
The new building for Częstochowa district court stands out as a clearly visible landmark in the city and on a flat base slightly above the large, new forecourt. The function of the court building is represented in a compact, self-confident structure. It signals the independence of the institution and – with the clearly accentuated main entrance, which opens the building onto the square – transparency and trust. The claim to stability and security is epitomised by the subtly, rhythmically structured façade with its bright, storey-height exposed concrete elements.

The functional organisation is divided logically into zones: the courtrooms and associated side rooms as well as light atria over the entire height of the building are grouped around the central foyer with the galleries and open staircase. The offices lie around the outside. There is therefore clear separation of the access routes for staff and easy orientation for visitors.
